...the schools are cancelled for three days because it snowed five days ago! gus was supposed to go back to school today, but it didn't happen because the schools here apparently didn't realize that you were supposed to shovel/plow the snow off of the driveways, sidewalks, etc. rather than waiting for the sun to melt it. welcome to the land of mañana! so now the schools are closed all this week because there are several inches of solid ice preventing the kiddos from getting to school safely. actually, the really sad part about this is that apparently APS (albuquerque public schools) only has 4 people on staff to remove snow at over 100 schools (there are 90,000 kids in APS). it is a poor state, and you just have to feel sorry for those 4 people right now.
i thought we were supposed to be getting away from the snow?
