katie and barry came to visit us for a few days last week, then went up to colorado, and are now in the process of driving back here to spend one more night. and...it's katie's birthday! we feel honored.
on their first day here, gus and i went with them to the top of sandia peak:

they should really make this sign a little more prominent--especially since it was raining and lightninging up there
somewhere out there is my house, and it isn't getting any rain, damnit.and the next day we all went hiking at tent rocks:
