in addition to the exciting news about an early spring, new mexico is considering a bill to allow optometrists to perform eye surgery in the state. a slippery slope indeed, meaning that if it is passed it allows a foot in the door for other non-medical people to possibly do surgery in the future. maybe even art historians. it really sucks for the patients, our fellow new mexicans...please oppose this bill, if you haven't already, by going to:
